Thanks for agreeing to be part of my Blogger in the Spotlight feature. First of all, would you tell me a little about yourself?
Hello and thank you for having me on your blog!! I am a 25 year old from the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I am a massive bookworm and a self-confessed tea enthusiast. When I am not reading, you can find me spending time with my two elderly black labs Ben and Jake.
What books/authors did you enjoy as a child?
Oh gosh, this is a hard question. I know I enjoyed the A.A. Milne books and The S.A.S.S Series as well as the Royal Diaries Series. Beyond that, I am afraid that I cannot really remember.
What made you want to start blogging?
I have crippling anxiety; I started blogging as a way of coping. Besides, I love reading and recommending books. Blogging just came as a natural step for me.
What do you enjoy most about blogging?
I love meeting all the super cool people in the bookish world; authors and bloggers alike. I find it amazing that I have met people from countries such as Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. The blogging community is incredible,
Tell me about your blog – sell yourself
The neat thing about my blog is that I do not review books by genre; rather, I review them by country. I have always been highly interested in other countries and their cultures. Thus, “Around the World in Books” was born; I created it to review books from countries all over the world.
What’s your favourite book you’ve reviewed so far this year? Or favourite three if you really can’t choose.
- The Paris Time Capsule by Ella Carey
- The Canterbury Sisters by Kim Wright
- Fifteen Postcards by Kirsten Mackenzie
What are you reading just now?
The Naked Room by Australian Author, Dianna Hockley
Tell me about your reading habits: book or kindle, bed or bath, morning or evening?
I do not have any real particular reading habits. If you had asked me prior to blogging I would have dismissed the kindle; however, I have become a bit of an ereading fan as of late. As for reading times, I really just read whenever and wherever; I am not picky.
How can people follow your blog or connect with you on social media?

And finally, if you could be a character in any book you have read, who would it be and why?
Hermione Granger – because what sane person wouldn’t want to go to Hogwarts [Despite it being super dangerous; it is a wonder that they haven’t had a lawsuit, haha.]
Lovely to hear about Melissa who always has so many good blog posts.
