Amazingly, it is five years today since I started Portobello Book Blog! In that time, I reckon I must have reviewed somewhere between 400-500 books and featured lots more authors and their books with spotlights, extracts, guests posts and my #TenThings feature.
More than ever just now, books are a way of escaping the real world, something we can all do safely inside and, through books, travel to places we can’t visit for now.
Usually for a giveaway, I would choose a book or two from my own shelves as a prize, but I’m not sure that a trip to the post office to post them could be considered essential! So instead I am offering a £10 Amazon giftcard for you to choose your own selection of books.
All you have to do to be in for a chance to win is to tell me about your favourite feel-good read. You can leave your comment on the blog, on my Facebook page or on Twitter, wherever you have read about the giveaway. I will allocate each person a number then use a random number generator to pick a winner. You can enter up until midnight (UK time) on Friday 3rd April and I’ll select the winner on Saturday 4th April.
Good luck!
Happy 5th Blogiversary!! 🙂
For a feel good read, I always reach for anything by Miranda Dickinson, Ali McNamara, Darcie Boleyn or Rachel Griffiths. These authors never fail to brighten a gloomy day x

Congratulations, my lovely – and must admit that anything romantic is what’s working for me, and always does. Reading the new Jennifer Bohnet at the moment, then it’ll be Sandy Barker, Victoria Connelly, Daisy James, Carmel Harrington, Mandy Baggot… staying in and keeping safe isn’t too bad really, eh?

Happy Blogiversary, and thanks for the giveaway! I don’t really have a favourite feel-good read. I love relaxing with a good crime fiction or thriller/suspense book. Those types of reads are my feel-good reads!
