Hello everyone and happy Sunday! Hope you are all having a good weekend and have had time to read and relax. Today I’m sharing a #SundayStack featuring some books I borrowed recently from my local library, Portobello Library.
Ancestry by Simon Mawer and These Days by Lucy Caldwell are both on the longlist for the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction 2023 and I really liked the sound of them. I only ordered them on Tuesday and picked them up on Thursday – aren’t libraries wonderful?
The Vanishing of Audrey Wilde by Eve Chase is for my bookgroup at the end of March. I admit it arrived more quickly than I expected and it’s reserved by someone else so I can’t renew it. I’ll need to get stuck into that soon!
Virtual Strangers by Sam Canning is a recent release and I’ve read lots of great reviews. It’s described as a modern You’ve Got Mail meets The Flatshare and I loved both of those!
Have you read any of these books? What have you been borrowing from your local library?
Joanne I have enjoyed all of Eve Chase’s novels to date.

That’s great to hear. I’ll have to read it within the next week somehow but I can’t review till after my book group which isn’t till the end of March! I’d better take plenty notes or I’ll have forgotten all about it by then! 😄
